Buying a gun represents a one-time purchasing process. You are literally buying a gun for life. The buying of firearms is very different from purchasing the common, GMO crap found at the local supermarket – no matter what the Amerikan hack politicians say. And, the buying of firearms in the United States is not easier than buying regular garden equipment, or any other important supplies for daily living. The purchase of a metal shooting piece is a long drawn-out process. The reason for all of this process is permanence. Once you buy that gun, it should stay with you forever – unless you find yourself in a tight legal situation where you have to relinquish your firearm.

Out west, my first forays into the gun store world revolved around checking for the weapons that the sellers had in stock. I would later revisit the store, browsing for the right weapons that fit my medium to small hands. I always had an idea beforehand about the type of weapon I had originally wanted to purchase, whether a long gun or a pistol.

Unfortunately, I have also experienced gun store bullies that push particular weapons on certain customers – such as women, or just people that don’t have the ‘gun guy’ look, such as myself. There are those few gun stores that throw out spurious information to the customers – often personal opinions mixed with aggressive salesmanship. As we say in the States: buyer beware.

There are also those naive customers that don’t know how to act inside a gun store. They want to rant on politics, or show-off their shoddy knowledge about guns and gun culture – rather than buy anything. There also exist the indiscreet ones who commit some bad faux-pas, like handle weapons and point them in the direction of everyone around them, or they try to take apart the guns to find out if they have any issues from previous users.

A few potential buyers will just say some dumb things to the sellers. They use inflammatory vocabulary or express hatreds, which puts the gun store employee in a bad position. The gun seller has to then deny the sale of a weapon to the client. There are even foolish buyers who forget that they still have unsealed felonies or very recent misdemeanors on their records. Even a recent divorce with one’s wife or a DUI can get a rejected background check for owning a weapon.

Before going into a gun store, the buyer must first understand why they truly need a weapon, and then really think it over. If they know how to safely handle a weapon, then there is particular firearm that will fit their hand and lifestyle

Does the buyer need a long rifle for hunting game, and does he or she know how to skin a buck in the wild? Or does the person own a business in a part of town that often gets dodgy late at night. There is also the question about home protection, and the even more important question concerning the people that reside inside of the house – and especially if there are kids around. Do the kids know the safety protocols and how to handle shooting?

Maybe the individual would like to carry full-time, take a CCW course, and then receive a state permit for concealed carry. Where a person lives also matters. One particular weapon works better in an urban environment over a rural one. The home owner living in the mountains might encounter angry bears or a pack of coyotes that wouldn’t mind making a dinner with the household pets.

The potential gun buyer also has to consider the deeper reasons for owning a firearm. Is it truly for personal protection, or does he or she just want to show off to friends about being a part of the American gun culture, intimidate the local ‘g fellas,’ or ‘gangstas’ down the street, or even play around at home with something really dangerous. All of the latter reasons negate owning a firearm. If the person feels comfortable learning the basic safety protocols with owning a firearm and truly understands the responsibility in owning a weapon, which also has the potential for exterminating life, then he or she is ready to purchase one.

Final considerations for owning a gun also consider the mental states of the owners. Does he or she frequently lapse into deep depressions, or they cannot control their intake of alcohol and other drugs – then the world of firearms is not for them.

Now the hard part comes along. The buyer has to find the right gun store in order to buy the right type of weapon. Living out in the western US, there are a bunch of gun stores to choose from in the region. Getting recommendations and warnings from other gun owners is a good first method. Finding the right store and avoiding the bad ones is also important – and the bad gun stores do unfortunately exist.

How do you know if you are in a bad one? If you enter a gun store and immediately the gun seller, employee, or another customer chatting with the seller, start pressuring a type of weapon on you, then you have entered a scam operation. Stop the conversation by thanking the people for their information, and walk out – never to return.

When you enter the gun shop for the first time, act the gentleman, with a good morning or good afternoon, and state what type of weapon you are looking for and the reasons. A decent gun seller will know what type of weapon would fit you, while he or she is aware about what the actual gun store has in stock.

A well-versed gun seller will show you some guns on display and will then ask you about your shooting experience, where and how you will store the gun, and will check your hand size. The seller will also factor in the size of the ammo rounds, gun locks, or in the case of pistols, the size of the holster.

The buyer should ask permission from the seller to hold the weapon. When the buyer handles the weapon, the barrel must face either up to the ceiling or down to the ground. Remember, all guns are potentially loaded –  even when on display.

The buyer needs to feel if the stock of the gun fits his or her hand well and if the weapon feels comfortable for firing. If the stock is too big, or the weapon feels too heavy, then firing the weapon will create greater hardships. The gun needs to feel comfortable and secure around one’s arms and hands.

The next questions towards the seller ought to concern the ammunition for the firearm. Is the ammunition hard to find, expensive, or does it give a heavy kickback, which makes shooting the weapon a dangerous exercise? A good gun seller will explain all the variables with each weapon on display.

The buyer has to ask the seller on how to disassemble, clean the weapon, and the safety protocols for handling such a weapon. All firearms have some type of safety mechanism near the trigger guard. A good gun seller will clearly show the general disassembly, cleaning operation and safety protocols.

Other important variables regard the weapon itself, is it new, or is it a second-hand one purchased from a private party. The buyer should inspect the barrel, action and bore for any noticeable discrepancies and check for any excessive dirtiness.

Are there any particular legal consequences within a certain state for possessing such a weapon? Is the rifle cumbersome to carry around, or does the gun safety seem too weak with a possible chance of a negligent discharge? Would a semi-automatic version of a similar model work better, or is a revolver, or even a pump-action better? Buying the right gun for the right person takes time.

Sometimes it is good to visit various gun shops and then come to a conclusion at home on how to purchase the best weapon. The decision includes pricing, quality, reviews on-line, personal fit, ease of disassembly, cleaning, and safety mechanisms.

During the handling of the firearm with the multiple questions that arise concerning the firearm, the buyer should focus solely on the weapon and its fit. Using tyrannical anti-gun vocabulary, such as ‘assault weapon,’ ‘cop killer rounds,’ or ‘mass shooting clip,’ will put the seller on the defensive, and it might make him or her stop talking to you completely and end the sale.

With each passing year, the US Federal Government, under its ATF gang, harasses more and more gun shops. Recently, under its Operation Choke Point, the US Federal Government has forced banks to stop doing business with gun shops.

All gun stores have to retain a federal license to sell weapons, called a FFL. When you use the corporate media’s gun control words inside the store, the gun store owner might think that you are either a rogue government agent, a provocateur from an anti-gun group, or more than likely, a mentally unstable individual. If a seller feels that the potential buyer would possibly act violent with the weapon, then the seller by law cannot sell the firearm to that person.

Once the buyer decides to purchase a firearm, then he or she must show their state ID, usually a driver’s license, and afterwards, fill out the firearm application form. The form asks for the general personal information of the buyer, including date of birth, race, marriage status, ID number, physical address and social security number. By law, all gun buyers must buy from a store within their own states. A person living in Wyoming cannot buy weapons in Montana.

The form also asks about any past mental imprisonment, drug-alcohol issues, criminal history, or any issues regarding divorce-visitation-child custody. If you answer yes to any of those questions, then the state background check will probably reject your application. If you have any past felonies, then ask your attorney to seal the cases, so the felonies do not show up on your check. Do this before you fill out the application. If you are nervous about filling out the application due to some past issues, or for any reason, then talk to your attorney before venturing into a gun store and filling out the application.

Once you pass your state background check and fully pay for your gun, you are now an official gun owner. Buy the right ammunition for the weapon, and any necessary accessories, such as snap caps or dummy rounds in order to practice at home.

You must also have a case to carry the gun inside, a gun lock, cleaning materials, or if necessary, a sling for a rifle, or a holster for a pistol. When you arrive home with your weapon, open the case, find the user’s guide and manual, read all of it, and put the gun away. You own a singular tool that with regular safety, practice and cleaning, will both accompany you and protect you for the rest of your life.

Spring at the Border was coming together. A personal renaissance was brewing its smoke inside of me once again. I had just visited a despicable academic conference in the western States, and had sworn to never attend one of those scam productions ever again. I had learned a valuable lesson. I decided to celebrate my recent wisdom, and my recent attainment of a useless PhD degree in six years, by visiting a US-Mexican border town – but on the Mexican side.

I had always loved the explorations of North American border cultures, the wild Mexican culture meeting the Empire of ‘Gringolandia.’ I had Mexican friends that lived in the same border town and I could hang with them – and which was what I did. I was partying every night and loving the street life and struggle around me. I even felt compassion for the Mestizo tourist touts and lowlifes that hung around the center of town just to harass the gringo visitors. With all the fleeting happiness that I had felt, I had also forgot an important truth to life. The world in which we must survive is also evil, bad, unjust, hypocritical, criminal and brutal.

Then Sunday came, and even in the wild Mex-Border Town, most everything was shut. I soon found an open cafe with wireless Internet, and saw a Mexican couple sitting inside too. It was near the hostel I was staying at – but the street was eerily deserted. I spent some hours sitting in there enjoying my Internet browsing and nursing my latte coffee drink. I was loving life in code white.

And then towards the end of the afternoon, a criminal vermin sprinted into the cafe quickly and suddenly. I saw the Mexican couple startled when he pointed the gun at them, and then the scum pointed his gun at me.

My adrenalin went into overdrive. Everything slowed down. I carried a knife on me during that period, but I was so stunned physically and mentally that my body moved slowly and roughly. I got up from the table, and the excrement threatened again to shoot me. He ran off with my laptop and the laptop of the Mexican couple. I had just bought that laptop from a web designer too.

And then I had a terrible realization, both of my back up flash drives were connected to the same laptop during the robbery. I understood that I had lost a few personal documents forever. I made a major system backup some six months previous – but six months is a long time. I horribly lost a personal journal that I had written in both English and Spanish. My only consolation was that both backup flash drives had most of my personal documents encrypted. I began to cry. The local Mexi-police arrived, and like usual, did nothing. I walked back to my lonely room in the hostel and entered a world of desperation and excruciating mental trauma. I had to talk with my Mexican friends about such a horrifying incident.

My Mexican friends consoled me, but they also spoke the truth to me. I should not have visited that border town. Border towns are just too dangerous to visit these days. I was a foreigner and I was even more of a target than they were. And they were completely right.

In Mexico, the foreign visitor cannot defend him or herself either. I was totally disarmed during the encounter. According to the ‘Law,’ only the government thugs-narcos have permission to carry weapons and use them on civilians. Americans carrying guns in Mexico can expect a lengthy prison term nowadays. But even if I had a gun on me, with all of the adrenalin dope running up and down my body and soaking my brain, I probably would not have been able to use the weapon properly during that awful situation. In truth, I shouldn’t have been in that cafe on the deserted street corner, and most importantly, I shouldn’t have been in that border town. I had experienced another horrible life warning – never again to forget. Self-defense is not so much about fighting, but awareness.

A lot of gun guys on the Internet love to boast their ‘tough guy’ credentials, such as ‘try prying my gun out of my cold dead hands, or ‘better being judged by twelve, then carried out by six,’ and other macho-male cowardly crap. These Internet liars are a terrible danger in American gun culture. And it is not just the boasting gun guys. I have heard pseudo-alpha male bullshit coming out of the martial arts black belt dudes, saying how they could rip a gun easily out of some criminals’ hands, or that they could have easily gotten behind the perpetrator and broken his neck. Yeah right. Too many of us gun owning citizens have been listening to and reading such nonsense.

Self-defense is real. But it begins and ends with mental awareness – not doing rolls on the karate mat or even doing weapon live fire once per week. Mental awareness is actually the hardest skill to master, but without any mental discipline, all of our martial physical practices are useless. Sun Tzu, the ancient philosopher, in his Art of War, mentions this discipline.

The first practice and discipline of Mental Awareness implies living our day-to-day lives in code yellow – not code white. Code white has our minds distracted, in fantasy la-la land, and preoccupied over mental garbage. Code yellow keeps our minds in mindfulness, aware of our breathing, walking, sitting, listening, seeing, sensing-analysis of our immediate environment, and most importantly, where our ‘go-to weapon’ is – in case of emergency.

The second practice and discipline of Mental Awareness forces us to analyze our common choices and actions. Principally, we have to understand what social group we fit into. We all fit into some social class distinction. Being honest works.

Do we outwardly represent college educated young people with middle class tastes? Then, we should not do a nighttime partying venture into the rough side of an urban cauldron where young, lumpen class gangbangers, street hustlers and desperate muggers proliferate. Nor ought we to set foot into the biker bar, cowboy bar or the redneck bar for some ‘slumming fun.’ Does the bar have a reputation for fighting and brawling, or does the cafe or restaurant feature the regular visits of our personal enemies or ex-whatevers – inclusive of their jealous boyfriends and girlfriends? Then we need to visit another cafe or restaurant in town. We do have choices in life – and we need to make the intelligent ones. This basic survival guide goes for whatever neighborhood, city, region, land or country that we visit.

The third practice and discipline of Mental Awareness implies practicing our Civil Rights Duties against the cop gangs. Some of us have seen the videos of heroic citizens defending their rights at police encounters, police traffic stops and at uniform checkpoints – but if we don’t practice our rights regularly, and inside the privacy of our homes, then we will not feel ready for our own future donut cop encounters. We are all perps now.

Experiencing the sudden presence of an Amerikan donut cop is quite scary. It prompts the same ‘hunted feelings’ as dealing with a criminal attack: our adrenalin energy immediately spurts into the red zone. Cops know this, and so they try to get us to talk and blabber. This is the worst thing we could do. Even the slightest comment could legally incriminate us.

We must ask the police officer, if ‘we are free to go,’ and if not, then ‘invoking our rights to remain silent and asking to speak to our attorneys.’ If the donut wants to search our bodies or our vehicles, then we need to make clear to the law enforcement officer that ‘we do not consent to any searches.’ Practicing these imaginary scenarios at home will make sure that we run a smooth operation against any live encounter with the Amerikan ultimate police gang state. Nervous potential perps also make the cop-gangers nervous. – and suspicious.

The fourth practice and discipline of Mental Awareness implies letting go of the past and a general forgiveness of the bad things people have done to us. Forgiveness does not mean that we need to go out, look for and befriend our past enemies. Instead, we need to understand that the past died within the past worlds. Our pasts no longer exist in our lives. We are different people now and we must move on and live life. If we drag the past with us, then we will fall into frustration, next anger, and eventually, will commit criminal acts – when we begin to think that vengeance matters more than our freedom.

The fifth and last discipline of Mental Awareness is basic knowledge of the laws. Nowadays, living in the infernos of the Amerikan Empire, there are thousands upon thousands of felony statutes: municipal, state and federal. Unlike the old days in the American West, we cannot legally defend ourselves against potential threats, insults to our honor, and even against actual physical threats. After any act of self-defense, including a home invasion, we will probably have to undergo the horror of the American legal system.

State prosecutors have the criminal authority to charge us for attempted murder, or if we are lucky, manslaughter. It all depends on their political whims. The miscreant’s family might want to sue us for everything we own in civil court. Unless we are members of the economic and political elites, we are all slaves to the cruel fiat of the Amerikan legal nightmare. We should never forget that we live inside of an Empire with both the highest prisoner population in the world, and the world’s largest percentage of prisoners to the general population. The Amerikan prison-concentration camp-gulag is always on the prowl to destroy more lives.

Out West, we recount the tragic story of Matthew Shepard. Matt Shepard was a smart, multi-talented university student at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, and he came from a high social class background. His dad was a respected oil company engineer and his family lived in places like Saudi Arabia.

The kid studied in Switzerland, while he could converse in German and Italian. He could also keep up an intelligent discourse on history, politics and culture, and he had an extensive musical collection. Matt looked different too. He was not athletic, but had a good sense of clothes style and decorum in his demeanor. He was also liberated sexually, or commonly called, ‘openly gay.’

Matt Shepard had his group of friends at university and when they wanted to party, once in a while, they did the drive to the only gay bar and cool dance place in the region – all the way to Ft. Collins, Colorado. In the 1990s, DUI crimes began to inflate and the jails began to open up – even out west, so the three-hour ride back and forth, Laramie-Ft. Collins, became a risky venture.

On the night of October 7th, 1998, Matt Shepard wanted to party, and he was alone at home. He lived in a small apartment near downtown Laramie. Instead of waiting for another night, or just buying some booze from a local liquor store, the smartly dressed, up and coming university graduate, decided to ‘slum it.’ He was going to visit the rough bar in town, the infamous Fireside Lounge – alone and unarmed.

The Fireside was the typical western dive with pin-up ‘girls’ stapled to the walls, sports crap pasted along the rafters, and a taxidermied American Buffalo head over the bar. It was definitely not a drinking place for the likes of Matt Shepard.

The dive attracted the worst sort in town. Also inside, were two trailer living, lumpen class losers involved in petty crime and odd jobs with some criminal history. The two western trash bums noticed the outsider already. The low, bottom-eating crap always notices the differences between their harsh world and the higher class of people. There was ‘something up’ with the college kid at the bar – a fag – a helpless weirdo? Later in the night, they decided to give the kid a ride – and then they murdered him for fun.

We Anarchists that are gun owners need to keep this story, and our own embarrassing experiences, in the file storage of our minds. We are outwardly different, smart, well-read, dignified, artistically inclined, and most importantly, we are open to the freedom around us. A majority of the people on Earth are not into these things. Most two-legged animals tend to fall into the dishonorable victim category, or the prey of life – and they don’t know their victimizers. They don’t like to read, nor do they write letters. They are angry and frustrated about living. Yet, we suffering humans – all have the potential to commit murder.

In truth, we are able to embrace some real self-defense – not martial arts moves and just buying more guns for the sake of buying guns – but instead, maintaining our mental disciplines. We can always stay in code yellow, being mindful, aware, and concentrated when performing daily tasks. We should try to avoid the dangerous snares across our paths: fancy rip-off bars or taverns where the violent come to die, unsafe, unlit areas, menacing situations with nasty people, and locales where our enemies like to hide and lurk. We could also regularly practice our anti-donut cop training, so that we will keep silent and composed when under the glare of the state gangs. As Anarchists, we have the courage in letting go of our pasts, embracing mental freedom – and just moving on. We now breathe, walk and act, while we daily strengthen our minds – the first line of auto-defense techniques.

After twelve years of living overseas in Europe, vagabonding and traveling around the world, I decided to return to the Amerikan school system. I wanted to get the top degree as a historian, a PhD. Yet, I always hated the Amerikan system of ‘education.’ Like most people in the country, most of my Amerikan schooling experiences were quite negative.

I had thought that studying for a PhD, or a useless doctorate degree, would signify a totally different experience. I would be able to read what I wanted, and study various themes and topics that interested me. I could write passionately about what truly fascinated me related to historical stuff. I could then become a professor too.

I finally did receive my longed for PhD six years later – but I was terribly wrong. I was good at history, but common sense kicked me in the butt. The rot of the education system had even infected the deadbeat world of Amerikan university graduate school.

From daycare-head start, nursery ‘schools’ to the doctoral program schools in Amerikan universities, bad education reigns through dirty social control. The main culprit represents the mandatory and compulsory state ‘public’ school. The Amerikan forced and coerced schooling system exists solely for training obedient, institutionalized slaves. The elites wanted, and have continued to want, mental cowards that follow orders throughout their bad employment careers. The Amerikan school system currently runs like a minimum security jail system confined within the bureaucratic iron cage.

I’ll never forget my first few weeks on the Amerikan university campus after being out of the ‘school system’ for over ten years. The university charged and extorted students for almost everything that they needed on campus. There were counseling fees, student bookstore fees, student union fess, building fees, computer resource fees, etcetera, and even teaching grad students had to pay for tuition.

In the Amerikan Empire, the state, inclusive of federal, state and city governments, normally tax the citizens incessantly. However, the Amerikan university had perfected this art of taxation, charges and fines, which possessed even greater reach than the state – since tuition costs rose by the rate of inflation times twenty each year.

The university also had a long list of fees and sanctions that required continual outlays of payments, such as parking fees, for both cars and bicycles, late registration fines, drinking alcohol on campus fines, skateboarding fines, and the poor undergrads that lived in the dorms had it worse. Their lives were exactly like prisoners in minimum security jails. They had to inform the security staff when both leaving and arriving in the buildings. Any minor room infraction could land them serious fines, ending up homeless – or even arrested by the campus donut brigade.

I was really shocked when I saw one peculiar ‘innovation.’ The university had a full-fledged and legal, autonomous police force, with its very own detective and jail, cops openly carried semi-automatic guns, high-powered shotguns, and the unit had an armored vehicle with drug sniffing dogs. These cops were often young and hard-core. They regularly rode and walked around the campus looking to harass and bust both unwary students and strangers that ventured on the campus spaces.

While the cops kept the campus on lockdown, surveillance cameras were prevalent everywhere. It wasn’t as bad as a casino or a prison, but it came close. The vigilance cameras were in the hallways, library bookcase areas, and they even faced the front doors of restrooms.

A terrible ambience of fear and distrust pervaded the entire university campus community. The university bosses or administrators managed the whole operation from the top down. The Regents or Trustees possessed the legal management of the university, so they appointed the president. The president next appointed his or her own assistants, and in turn, they appointed the provosts, vice provosts and the other campus directorships. Meanwhile, the provosts appointed the deans and the assistant deans, and the deans appointed their assistants. Almost none of these six figure salaried administrators, and in the case of the president, millionaires, taught classes. They generally attended meetings and passed e-mails to each other.

The administrative chiefs often delegated the heavy university workload, innocuously called service requirements, onto the tenured professor managers. These administrators could dismiss any worker or terminate any job position at will – even if the victim had tenure.

This American university system resembled the old Communist Central Committees of Eastern Europe, or the old Corporations run by the family juntas of the Rockefellers and the Vanderbilts at the turn of the century. The top directors also referred to ‘their university’ as a not-for-profit corporations. The irony apparently escaped them.

The tenured professor managers were quite disappointing as both workers and people. They often acted in a cowardly manner. They never argued with the administrators, and never fought back against most university injustices. The few who did fight back, ended up fired. Most tenured university professors transformed themselves into institutional drones.

Most of them had already transformed themselves into servile workers through faithfully attending the Amerikan Empire school system.

The worst of the bunch were the other graduate students. I had thought that my fellow students would emerge as intellectual colleagues where deep discussions on history, culture and politics were commonplace. The opposite was true. With so little money at the bottom of the pyramid and with most of us gaining horrible salaries at the poverty level, every other graduate student was a competitor for the meager amounts of available money. Hatred ruled inside of those tiny and claustrophobic grad student offices.

The hatred and anger seethed at all levels on the campus. Administrators often blew their tops against recalcitrant professors. Some professors went ballistic against grad students. The grad students showed their rage through harshly grading the papers of the undergraduates – who represented the ‘lazy’ students. Yet it was the laziest of the bunch, the administrators, who received the greatest payouts. And from there, the pyramid of tension, hate and control regularly flushed down into the university cesspool.

I began to hear other horrible stories and legends. A tenured, professor-pervert got away with his sexual indiscretions due to his ability to garner outside grant money for the university, i.e., the administration. The uni donut cops managed a corrupt practice of busting drivers around the campus at night for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, (DUI) money; meanwhile, some of those same cops would get drunk and then receive free rides home. University administrators would physically threaten attorneys, coaches and professors that refused to bend to their wills.

I also heard about some departments where cowardly professor bullies formed mob actions against their non-conformist colleagues. The university environment functioned under some of the worst institutionalized behavior in the education industry. Only the Amerikan prison gulag or the US Post Office seemed worse off – and yet, I had voluntarily entered this sick world.

I stayed on for six years longer until I received my PhD. I had no where else to go. I was good at history, reading and writing. But I paid a serious price for my desperate and stubborn will to continue and finish graduate school. I too fell victim to the pettiness, the competitive meanness, the nasty envy, and worst of all, the frustrated anger. Yet, I prided myself in resisting such institutional vices. It took me four years after receiving my PhD to fully heal my mind from such a harsh ‘educational’ experience.

After reaching the long sought doctoral degree, I then realized something even more sinister – the Amerikan university had become a rotten extension of the Amerikan high school, which in turn, birthed itself out of the infernal concoction of Amerikan forced schooling, or ‘the public school system.’

The mandatory public school system was actually a recent historical phenomenon. About a hundred years ago in the USA, few people attended the local public schools. Kids might attend a local school-house, but the school was completely autonomous, under a schoolmaster or even a local teacher. Most children attended for a few years, but it often ended when they had to work at their parent’s businesses, farms or small ranches. Children mainly learned their life and work skills from their parents.

At about the same time, Amerika’s elite business capos, such as the Rockefellers, began to lobby the state governments for forced, mandatory schooling. They wanted a more ‘disciplined’ workforce, and so they united with German Empire trained, public intellectuals, such as John Dewey, to set up ‘school boards,’ ‘child labor laws,’ and ‘teacher colleges.’ The Amerikan federal and state apparatuses supported this school system because they watched the spectacular military power of the German Empire, or the Second Reich, which had compulsory state schooling. Other world empires, had also utilized this successful school model, such as the French Empire and the British Empire.

By the 1920s, most US states had some form of mandatory public school law, which gave states the legal right to take away parents’ kids, and hold them against their wills for a good party of the day. The elites however, such as the Rockefellers, never sent their kids to those obligatory public schools; instead, their sons, and eventually, daughters too, attended elite college preparatory private schools, and afterwards, attended the ivy league, elite universities.

The requisite state, Amerikan public schools had more administrators than teachers. They often sat in offices, never taught, and received great salaries, benefits and severance pay packages. Under them were the ‘education leaders,’ or principals, who also made very good money.

In order to earn a little money, I did some substitute teaching at some local public schools. During my period breaks, I overheard teachers recounting some outrageous stories of corrupt Board of Education bosses, often coming into the main office for a few hours and then leaving for the rest of the day. And these bosses made six figure salaries! At the same time, most of the teachers that I saw in the teacher’s lounge seemed tired, worn out, weird and their pay was average. The teachers did most of the work, since the principals never really taught any classes.

Working as a substitute also pained me to view the poor children harassed, categorized and ordered around by the school authorities. Bullying was rampant and the violence between students often exploded into nasty fights. The corporate media liars always blamed school violence on bad kids, bad parents and bad teachers. But I saw first hand that it was the institutional violence of enforced schooling, which had started this nefarious cycle.

The school system of the Amerikan Empire did teach a few reading and math skills. Most importantly however, those schools also taught more deceitful lessons.

The compulsory schooling scam has taught children about their low place in the social hierarchy, and how in order to ‘stay afloat in the world,’ the good student must lie, tolerate boredom, elicit favors, and maintain a false, hypocritical public persona.

The Amerikan state school has represented the most impressive institution for maintaining social control. As long as the Amerikan Empire continually murders and vomits out its casualties across this planet, this disguised jail system for children, adolescents and young adults, will rip apart and destroy its own sad victims.

History shall condemn such a monstruous institution clothed in the black robes of ideological deceit, or ‘educational policy.’ Compulsory State Education has forced millions of parents, under the terrible threats of the State, to hand over their own children for mind and personality mutilation.

The decade of the 850s BCE transformed into years of great agricultural harvests, the warm summers that always brought the good rains in the end. Some empires were on the move during this time too, such as the powerful Olmec city states, the Zhou Chinese feudal kingdoms, the military advances of the Neo-Assyrian Empire, and the growing naval power of the Phoenician city states along the Mediterranean.

Another city was growing too. They called themselves, Thebes, and many of the original warrior-nobles descended from some of the great pharaohs of Egypt, such as Ramses, and the great king of the rich city of Mycenae, called Midas. At least, those elites said this was true. The city also had strong fortified walls and had a high and central place on a thin strip of southern Hellas, or Greece. Its aristocrats possessed good reputations for fierce fighting – since many of them were also sexually involved with each other.

This city was also well-known for its peculiar sacraments in honor of its patron god, called Dionysus, or in the Roman name, Bacchus. The ceremonies for this god were not the typical devotions for the Greek gods, such as Apollo, Athena, Zeus, Ares-Mars and Hermes-Mercury. The supposed solemn religious services of Dionysus-Bacchus often transcended into furies of wild drinking, erotic dancing, rough eating and other sensual explorations.

His festival was during the late summer recollection of the wine fruit, the grapes, and their magical transformations into fermented joy. Men and women of public dignity could transcend into crazy barbarians. And they didn’t seem to care if these sensual transformations took place among the darkened frenzies.

Alcohol represents the most powerful and fastest working drug for personal transformation. This very strong fermented concoction contains the power to let go of mind shackles, which can lead into simple and beautiful joyousness. Alcohol’s peculiar pharmacological power explains its might and cultural influence in all world cultures and throughout world history, and even in world cultures that supposedly hate it, such as the Amerikan empire, Evangelical Christianity and Islamic fundamentalism.

But like any drug, it has its very own shackles and snares. The drug of alcohol must go with three important spirits in order for the drinker to reach his or her personal transformations towards letting go and simple joy. Alcohol has to coincide with the wonderful company of family and friends, the practices of celebration and carnival, and always have some good food to soak up the toxins that coexist with the tangy tastes of fermentation.

Around the year 405 BCE, a famous Greek tragedian, or playwright, wrote a piece called ‘The Bacchae.’ The work tells the story of King Pentheus of Thebes that tried to confront the God Dionysus who had visited his city and initiated the crazy worship dedicated to the sweet wine of excess. Pentheus tried to ban, repress, control and survey the decadence of alcohol, yet he ended up getting killed by his own mother, (while he was dressed in a woman’s costume), during the sacred rituals of overindulgence, violence and sensuality. Other ancient Greek rulers tried to ban Bacchus and his holy rites of alcohol drinking, such as King Perseus of Argos and King Lycurgus of Thracia. Like Pentheus, they all failed miserably trying to prohibit the sacred rituals associated with magical wine.

The moral of the theatrical story was clear: leave Bacchus alone, let the people enjoy themselves, don’t try to control and destroy the party – for partying represented a celebration of life, a celebration of the Dionysian spirit that has existed inside all of us.

The Roman Empire would also learn this hard historical lesson. Around the year 186 BCE, the Roman Senate, representing the Roman Republic, had enough of the night-time ceremonies, the secret initiates of drinking societies, and the excessive wildness of the Bacchanalia rites. Bacchus was one of the major Roman gods and there were statues and temples of him everywhere – but the rituals went too far.

Roman slaves acted like military commanders, and Roman women took on the roles of Roman dignitaries. The alcohol consumed during the festival flew beyond indulgence. The secretive initiation rites in order to enter the drinking societies possessed suspicious motivations. The sexual indiscretions after some hot dancing were often quite notorious. The ecstatic music of pipes and drums often brought young women into frenzies of lust and screaming. Every Bacchic celebratory season, there were always violent deaths and other nefarious acts reported. There even existed worshippers, called Bacchants, which only served Bacchus – and they even they dedicated their lives to the god through living in continual drunkenness and dissolution.

Eventually, the Senate had the Roman army exterminate the hard cores that fully lived their existences in Bacchic ecstasies. Bacchus represented an imported god from Greece, and supposedly had its origins from the Egyptians anyway. The Roman Republic destroyed some temples lest some Bacchanalia fanatics try to hide inside them under the protection of the god. New Roman laws prohibited the annual night-time conclaves of secret societies meeting outside of the city.

The Romans did value pragmatism, so they eventually allowed the annual Bacchic celebrations, but they had to support the normal rituals for the gods: sacred oblations and ceremonies in public view at the temple doors, while the rituals and music were open to the full community. The priests and musicians performed the rites both during the day and at night. About fifty years later however, the Roman Republic would disintegrate through its own orgies of violence called the Civil Wars.

And to this very actual day, world ideologies, world religions and world empires have waged a most horrible war against Bacchus. Evangelical Christianity, Psychobabble, Mormon Christianity and fundamentalist Islam still rail against the demonic drink.

But more ominously, since the beginning of the 20th century, the early 1900s, the Amerikan empire has continually waged a holy war against Bacchus and his magical fruits. Some of the more notorious examples have included, a National Prohibition Amendment against alcohol, (1920-1933), state liquor stores and liquor control boards, alcohol sin taxes, dry counties, bar closing hours, Sunday bans on selling beverages, maximum alcohol content laws for beer, banning the importation of Absinthe or the domestic production of corn liquor, raising the minimum wage to imbibe alcohol from 18 to 21, the restrictive Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, or the infamous ATF, and Surgeon Generals that continually fulminate against the drug. Finally, there is the maximum police action against alcohol, or supposedly against drunk drivers, called Mothers Against Drunk Driving, or really, the nation-wide police prohibition action against any drivers that happen to have any alcohol in their blood streams.

Millions of American citizens have lost their lives, both socially and physically, through such state institutional violence. During Prohibition, both the US and state governments purposefully poisoned sections of the ‘illegal’ alcohol supply in order to destroy lives and murder ‘disobedient and degenerate drinkers.’ The US government and state government’s war on DUIs has only helped extort great quantities of citizens’ personal finances and increase the bloated prison population, which is now the largest in the world in both real numbers and in percentage of prisoners to the general population.

Yet it is still quite dangerous to drive on the roads, and deadly accidents still happen regularly in the States. Like Pentheus and the Roman Senate of ancient history, the twisted state cycles versus alcohol are still flexing their muscles of control and legalized violence. But the six truths of history never change, so the same historical cycle has fallen upon the Amerikan empire. Violence is now endemic in American society. A few crazies even prefer the public acts of willful mass murder to any partying whatsoever.

One extreme often follows its opposite extreme. This historical truth has generally explained the attraction of some Communists for suddenly changing over to Fascist movements.

Millions of unfortunate people around the world have taken that other extreme with alcohol. They regularly drink the sacred and fermented juices into the private realms of slow and painful deaths. They drink when they rise, when bored, when they use the toilet, the shower, during work, watching TV, and even before they go to bed. Alcohol helps them pass through their pathetic lives that they truly hate. If they only were dead; instead they exist as alcoholics. Bacchus has given up on them too.

The joyful and liberating spirits of alcohol only flourish under the marvelous company of family and friends, the sensual delights of festivities and carnival, and the delightful tastes of good food. All three of these wonders of life taken together, will transform the Bacchic liquefied gift.

Alcohol opens doors into treasure lands of mental wonder and sensual adventure, and yet when easily overindulged, it is also an intoxication breathing poison, all of which drowns the mind of awareness.

Living and surviving in the United States of America is like no other experience. Propaganda overload and brainwashing overdose entail part of the process. For those of us unfortunately born here, the corporate media have inundated, attacked and cudgelled us into accepting certain ways of thinking since we were children sitting in front of the TV ‘boob tube.’ This image-emotional thinking spawns from a nefarious concoction that has mixed the fine arts of media spectacle, hip TV advertising, and a hard dose of sociopathic mythology.

We Americans can never fully extirpate those monstrosities out of our mental systems – unless we become full on ex-pats and embrace completely the new culture that we happen to live in. And this does not just mean becoming an advanced level speaker in the new language. It also means redirecting the mind into a completely distinct mindset.

I actually performed this mental release program through living in Europe for about five years, and I was able to change my thinking completely. But, when I returned to the States after my living overseas adventure, I was surprised with the change of cultural scenery. The United States did not change that much really. I had changed.

I first remember seeing flags flying everywhere representing the United States government. In no other country in the world does one see so many government flags crowding into the frontal sight view. In the rest of the world, the state apparatuses put out the flags for visits of foreign dignitaries or for special occasions, such as Independence Days or Revolution Days. But in the USA, regular citizens and many businesses hang out the flags on their automobile antennas, on auto bumper stickers, front license plates, on their shirts, pants, shoes, asses, jackets, on the doors of their private homes, and grandly displayed on brick walls, vacant windows, high ceilings and even floors.

I realized that some Americans actually believed that the Flag, which was really one of the symbols of the US government in Washington D.C., also represented them as a people. The Flag was for them too – and they could do what they liked with it. The US government had successfully transformed one of their symbols into a popular culture hip item. In no other country in the world has this seductive method worked so splendidly. The Amerikan Flag has transformed itself into an idol fetish symbol.

The other symbols of the US government are the Statue of Liberty, the Bald Eagle clutching arrows and branches over the Seal of Stars and Bars, the US Dollar, the White House, the US Congress Capitol building, Mt. Rushmore, and the Uncle Sam character. Yet, how many Americans put up the other symbols around their homes, businesses and cars – or even on their clothes?

I also noticed the terribly repressive nature of the laws compared to many of the foreign countries where I had traveled and lived. The nasty cop presence was everywhere looking for victims to harass, detain, arrest, and even imprison. The repressive nature of the laws and police state terror also showed their scars on the everyday American people. In big city Amerika, it was terrible. Paranoia and suspicion truly ran deep. I felt the violence in the eyes, while spotting the fear on the faces.

Actions that in other countries that had no legal consequences, possessed the potential for serious crime infractions in the USA, like drinking alcohol in public, physically fighting back against a person that had insulted you publicly or physically threatened you, or looking at a pretty woman or man in a public library. I was frightened myself, but I embraced Anarchism while living in Europe, so I was going to do something inside this Evil Empire. And if there was so much tension, hatred and fear on the streets, then why did a good part of the American public still embrace the symbols of the US government as part of their own identities?

The most dangerous and most sophisticated power of the Amerikan Empire is its corporate media propaganda and brainwashing control. This indoctrination power is even more powerful and dangerous than its military power because this system slowly rots out the insides of people’s brains. This media propaganda, emotional manipulation and brainwashing system have been, and always will be, the greatest indoctrination program in human history. No other empire, class based society or political culture has been able to compete with having such a high percentage of its own citizens visibly identify with the state’s ideological political goals. Many citizens of different countries around the world would say that they are proud to live in their respective countries, but Amerikan patriotism and exceptionalism are quite different breeds of activities.

Most US citizens revert to a type of immediate defense of government policy regardless of the facts or the truth. The Fascist governments of Europe and Latin American tried to create a similar world through murdering many of their own citizens that did not accept the new order. They failed at their goals because the tactics were too brutal for human consumption. The Communist governments of eastern Europe tried to create a particular mind control system among its worker-citizens, yet they failed too. Only ancient monotheistic religious ideologies, such as Christianity and Islam, can actually compete with, and resist, the ideology of American patriotism and exceptionalism.

The American propaganda ‘greatest show on earth’ uses some very important methods in maintaining its hold on many American’s minds. The first method guarantees a compliant corporate press media group that keeps up the public lies of ‘independent’ and ‘objective.’ The second method makes sure that alternative viewpoints and the actual history of the situation, versus the official government lies, are kept marginalized, isolated, and outside of the corporate media. The American public has become the most ignorant and ill-informed populace in world history.

The third method operates on the corporate media and government intellectuals who regularly destroy the English language with contradictory phraseology, such as ‘surgical strikes,’ ‘medical experts,’ scientific studies,’ ‘tax rebates,’ ‘affordable care acts,’ ‘public education,’ ‘department of defense,’ ‘institutions of justice,’ ‘freedom fighter,’ ‘assault weapon bans,’ ‘human rights sanctions,’ and ‘humanitarian interventions.’ The fourth method runs on the corporate media system regularly using old theatrical stunts in order to hammer its viewpoints across the public spectrum: constant repetition of key ideas, emotional image manipulations, plot breakup and suspense building through continual advertising cuts, and destruction-war-technology-violence-special effects mega shows. Some good examples of the US government’s brainwashing methods were the gradual re-education methods and repression used during the 1970s-1990s, when the political-economic-military elites had decided to destroy the cultural legacy of the ‘Sixties.’

The changes from the Sixties blew up in the 1970s. The elites in power were in shock – and they were scared. Many Americans lost respect for most government and corporate entities. The corporatist
