Some scams are quite obvious through their open dishonesty. But there are other, more dangerous flim flam operations, which often hide under the covers of opportunity. Some fraud operations have their public exposure from the crime shows on TV.

There exist other swindles that prick at the heart and the mind because we experienced them first hand. So we are survivors now, and we have the responsibility in telling the sleazy tale of deceit. We hold the duty in warning others.

This essay is both a historical piece on one of the most shameful swindles in modern American history, and at the same time, this is a warning for those who might fall victim to the lies of the educated cheats hiding within faculty dungeons and administrator offices – all within the towers and chains of the Amerikan Higher Education incinerator. Let the reader beware.

The university administrators where I had studied, and their very own tenured gang of professors whom I worked for, scammed me horribly. They took away six years of my life for a worthless doctoral degree within the humanities subject of history. Not only did they take advantage of me, but they cursed me forever. They knew full well that I would not find decent work after graduating with a flimsy PhD paper, but they continued their duplicity until the end of my studies.

For a heinous lie, they robbed me of my life’s options, which has all but destroyed my work chances for the rest of my entire life. The only jobs that I can now do represent extremely low-level, low paying work, such as back kitchen, service industry detail, or peon retail, clerical work.

I paid dearly for attending graduate school, but while surviving in that hell mouth of constant work with futile results, I also uncovered a greater crime. It was not just graduate school itself, or the particular university structure that was a corrupt institution. It was the entire Amerikan Higher Ed, College-University System, which was at fault.

I discovered that the Amerikan college complete package was one of the most heinous Ponzi-pyramid schemes. Yet most Americans believe that going to college and getting a degree is a necessary step before entering the work force, almost like a median level between high school and the first real job. This brainwashing trope is similar to many Americans who also believe that the US Military-Industrial-Spy-Complex defends our freedoms and liberties – not the Constitution.

The Amerikan University swindle operates under the bureaucratic-pyramid structure, whether private institutions, for-profit centers, public establishments, or so-called non-profit status centers. All of the above institutions profit off the incoming students and the students’ families.

On the top of the pyramid are lots and lots of administrators, such as trustees, regents, corporate boards of directors, presidents, assistant presidents, provosts, assistant provosts, deans, assistant deans, and multiple other campus directors, such as Director of Affirmative Action, Director of Alcohol Abuse, all of whom run and administer, and most importantly, profit off everyone else that happens to work for them, or pay into the corporation.

These administrators live as the owner class of the institutions. They all make six to seven-figure salaries, receive full rounds of benefits, which often include paid for housing and transportation, and extensive severance packages if forced to vacate their comfortable positions.

The next levels are the selected, top tiered employees, or the commandeering class, who bring in lots of money to the university, such as the football and men basketball coaches, the science, medicine and law, tenured professor stars who receive millions of dollars in US govt. grant money, or the cops that violently protect the administrators’ privileges, such as the campus police force. Like their admin overlords, all of them receive six figure salaries with full, luxurious benefits, and decent severance payments if forced to leave.

The levels further down are all the other tenured, full-time professors and campus spokespersons representing the managerial class. This subset also includes the university librarians, campus food services managers, campus student services managers, campus activities leaders, executive administrative assistants, and the grounds workers, transportation workers, etc., with seniority rights.

There are many of these posts, and they receive good paying salaries with good benefits, but their pay does not often reach to the six figure level, and they must contribute a tax to their campus privileges, such as health care. If they stay for twenty years or longer, without any controversy or incidents, then they can receive a small pension for the rest of their lives, called emeritus, if they worked in the academic fields.

Then the bottom drops out, and literally drops out, for the many peons caught in the college black widow spider web. The peon rabble includes the many part-time, adjunk instructors with advanced degrees who teach a lot of the classes, and who receive no benefits. Their overall net pay is lower than most fast food service workers.

There exist hundreds of graduate student-teaching-research assistants who also teach for extremely low pay. Next, come the campus dining-cleaning workers, most of whom are illegal immigrant workers. A bizarre subset of this rabble comprise the foreign graduate students who work like slaves in the science laboratories, while they pay lots of foreign student tuition money in order to attend those same institutions!

The most abused sub-group represents the thousands of undergraduate students, many of whom also work for the university, and yet, the same university institution taxes without mercy their families for every conceivable, imagined payment. The sordid nickle and dime list of fees includes matriculation, credit classes, non-credit classes, dining, campus services, technology, graduation, transfer, transcripts, applications, counseling, security, building, parking, housing, study abroad, etc.

The next question concerns the history of such institutions: how did they transform themselves into such profiteering, corporate-bureaucratic machines?

Most Amerikan universities and college academics love to ridicule and deride both the for-profit higher learning institutions with their pathetic business and technical degrees and the religious colleges and seminaries that hand out easy doctoral degrees related to religious-theological concerns.

This snobbery is simply the derision of the arrogant buffoons with larded vocabulary looking down on the ignorant poor below. Those pride-ridden boors forget that America’s colleges and universities, the very first ones, such as Harvard, Yale and Princeton, started out as religious corporate institutions, training seminarians for the ministry. Is it not ironic that those same old colonial seminaries of Calvinist fanatics, Puritans, (English rite), and Presbyterians, (Scottish-Irish rite), are now the USA’s top private Ivy League institutions?

The cowardly academic bullies, many of them trained in Neo-Marxist gibberish and who write books and articles that very few people ever care to read, also forget how they willingly cringe and submit to their administrator overlords. The old truth still matters: the bully to the weak, is often the coward to the strong.

By the second half of the 1700’s, the Ivy League seminary schools began to diversify their studies; instead of just the old courses on Biblical Hermeneutics and Ecclesiastical History.

Until the mid 1800’s, most of the Ivy League graduates still had ties to the ministry, or to certain elite families within their geographic region. Since those institutions were the first American universities, and have had the greatest reputations, they started a noxious trend where every other university and college in States has followed their examples.

These private Ivy League institutions, run by Corporate Boards of Directors, now have Endowment slush funds in the billions of dollars, which are greater than most of the world nations’ Gross Domestic Products. Unlike most other universities and colleges, their return on investments works for their students. Even in economic depressions, their students find good paying jobs.

The Harvard Corporation insures that their faithful, institutionalized, corporatized students receive good work prospects within surrogate corporate institutions. The surrogate institutions all swim within the Liberal economic maze, while seeping inside the global capitalist labyrinth.

The Ivy League university system is most important for the Amerikan Empire because it ensures a new generation of institutionalized political-economic elites to take the place of the older ones. A few of the scholarships and poor kids who attend such colleges receive new identities as the future class traitors-ambassadors for the Amerikan imperial project.

The Harvard Corporation stole this method from the British aristo-parasites who always allowed a few wealthy families to enter the titled aristocracy. This illusion of hope and dope allows the elites some breathing room – so they don’t have the fear the mass of wage slaves waking up – and eventually putting the elites into early graves.

Harvard especially uses this deceitful method in advertising ad nauseam its token ex-homeless, ex-welfare hotel, ex-poverty-survivor students as champions of the Liberal ideology. In the Amerikan Empire, everyone has a chance of making it. If you don’t have lots of money and wealth – then that is your problem. The Great Lie reiterates: the ticket to the American Dream remains essentially a university-college education.

Due to the Ivy League’s success in transforming their religious seminaries into first class universities, Amerika’s robber baron capitalists also invested in the higher ed scheme during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.

Some good examples have included, Leland Stanford in California, Cornelius Vanderbilt in Tennessee. William Marsh Rice in Texas, Washington Duke in North Carolina, Paul Tulane in Louisiana, Johns Hopkins in Maryland, and the capitalist tag team of industrialist and banker, Andrew Carnegie and Andrew Mellon in western Pennsylvania, and finally, John D. Rockefeller’s donation, The University of Chicago. All of these schools are not in the Ivy League geographic zone, but they certainly imply Ivy League standards. The elites’ investments were successful.

Amerika’s state universities also joined in the re-marketing revamp. They hid their ties as boarding schools for elites and wealthy families, and soon brought in academic stars, mostly in the hard and applied sciences. Some state universities’ reputations entered the second class tier, such as the University of California Berkeley, The College of New Jersey Rutgers, the University of Virginia, and The University of Texas Austin. The Amerikan university complex had discovered both a gold mine and an oil-gas pocket at the same time.

By the 1970s, the older western land grant, university institutions for agribusiness, and mining-gas industry related studies, modified themselves into massive state institutions with over a hundred different majors. Former state teacher certification colleges, or regional State colleges, also recast themselves as flag-ship university institutions. Even the junior-technical colleges of two-year Associate degrees, converted themselves into regular colleges with multiple majors for transferring credits into the state college system – the community college system.

All of the Amerikan universities-colleges, from the Ivy Leagues to the small junior colleges in the rural west, have utilized the corporate-bureaucratic pyramid model for achieving their profits. They all function as top-heavy structures with the well-paid administrators teaching no classes, while most of the dirty workers, including the regular instruction of students, represent part-timer adjunks receiving salaries lower than fast food wage slaves. How do these corrupt institutions get away with such fraud and continue to gather such extraordinary profits?

The answers fall to the wicked brews of publicity, marketing and advertising. also called college rankings, mixed into the lead boil ideology of the Amerikan Dream-Nightmare – blended with the bitter spices of Neo-Marxist gibberish concerning equal opportunities, harassment free safe spaces and challenges for social justice.

As the college ranking system changes annually, the administrators invest heavily in corporate marketers to advertise their university or college’s success stories. Students and professors willingly give free advertising for the administrators on their universities’ main web pages.

If one visits any higher education campus, the visitor will spot low paid student workers giving tours of the campus to lots of families and prospective students. Most of the families are from the old American working class and middle class, people who worked hard, but were able to save some capital for their kids’ college education.

In our dying Amerikan, imperial economy, the Amerikan university artifice has ultimately transformed itself into another ponzi-pyramid scheme. It robs from the marks that innocently use its same services – the students.

The Amerikan university institution is now up there in the sublime racket stratosphere with private prisons, security firms, check cashing outlets, pawn shop rebates, smart phone monthly payment plans, health and life insurance options, Division of Motor Vehicle rates, sales and payroll taxes, utility fees, civil forfeiture, public comment allotments at City Hall, jail bond bail payments, congressional gerrymandering of voting districts, TV infotainment, work application drug testing-background check fees, TSA airport security theater, police internal affairs, US imperial human rights policies, W-2 employment forms, DUI checkpoints, happy hour bar prices, cover charges, restaurant buffet lunch menus and political elections.

Is it any wonder that the only public institution that some Americans still respect is the US Military, and that the only cultural space left where some Americans actually can feel some flicker of dignity – is at church?

The Harvard Corporation works for its graduating elite students. But what will the other students do with their futile degrees at lesser ranked universities and colleges? They often do not have access to good jobs, and then after graduating, the students owe lots of loaned money to the banks?

The Amerikan Empire has released the furies of outrage and exasperation upon us all. With the Higher Education monopoly exposed, learn a real skill while getting paid – and save your dignity.

capitalism modern cityabsolut-capitalismcapitalism breadCAPITALISM predatorsOpportunity for allEnjoy Capitalism

We all possess the marks of our future corpses.

We are all truly homeless, for our final home is in realm of extinction. We humans now survive inside the hells of our previous creations. One of our current hells possesses the name of Capitalism, and it respects no one – except those of the fortunate few who possess grand quantities of capital, or money. And ultimately, we all must fend and forage for our basic survival. All alone we decay, every human for him or herself, as we all will die – alone.

The author of this blog has traveled to many nations and regions across the globe, and in the end, he cannot do another voyage. Capitalism was everywhere triumphant, the terrible poverty was all around: the street children sleep on every continent. The poor people just gave up the ghost, and lied down the streets – waiting to die. It was too much to experience.

Among this actual terrorism of poverty and misery, there were always a few super wealthy people that lived in multiple story apartments, or in mini-castles of twenty-five rooms surrounded by severe walls with thug security. Legal trades and illegal trades, no outsider could tell where those elite crooks had made their loot money. But like the famous French writer of the nineteenth-century, Honore Balzac, quipped, ‘behind every great fortune, are even greater, hidden crimes.’

The other wealthy muggers across the world have represented the agents of the State, or the government. Those bum parasites comprised top politicians, high military officers, media moguls, and a few sell-out, good selling celebrities, added for public taste. All of them mixed together to bake the infernal pot of injustice, pride, inhospitality and sociopathic greed.

I write from the entrails of human history’s most notorious world empire. Some Americans continue to say that we don’t have terrible poverty rates, as those third world countries. There is even a smaller group, yet a substantial one, who certify that the Amerikan Empire is still the land of opportunity, and that us complainers: ‘need to get a job, grab the work ethic, or even, start are our own businesses.’ If our hard lives were only that easy…

Those brainwashed Empire supporters believe that every American comes with 25 grand in capital, to either begin a college education onto the path of prosperity, or embrace the hard work struggle in attaining the American Dream.

For most of us, we see the current Amerikan Nightmare – with no rainbow over the clouds. We won’t fall for the Wizard of Oz, Hollywood story happy ending. We know that the hideous mark of the wage slave is upon our foreheads.

Karl Marx successfully predicted that as Capitalism encroached within every corner and crack on the Earth, the entire political economic system would transform into more outrageous distortions, operate faster and faster, and create profit scams over every conceivable material object on the Earth, and even devour and cannibalize its own worker ants. At least Marx was right about a few things.

Capitalism under its contemporary, global monopoly stage, operates under the whims of the global rich elites with the government apparatus, State enablers. Those two teams are always united and banded together, and continually wage war against the rest of the world population.

The political hacks like to harp on ‘democracy,’ but there is no democracy in the workhouse of Capitalism. Capitalism is one of the most heinous dictatorships existing in our contemporary life.

The corporate directors-owners and their political buddies simply parasite off our lives. They hire us without work contracts or make us sign flim-flam ones. They also expect us to arrive to the work site on their time, so they can suck the life out of us during their scheduled work day.

The owner and his family clique can leave work whenever they want, nonetheless, we the workers have to stay on the job and finish our ‘shift.’ We do have unpaid lunches however. Is it not ironic that they want us, ‘laborers,’ to give them at least two weeks notice before leaving, yet they can fire at us at will anytime – and for any reason?

As Marx also stated, the most pressing actual war for all of us is the class war. The political-economic rulers have declared a most vicious war against us. Have we then, opted to fight for our own survival, and stand on our duty for own self-defense?

A few have. But most of the human population has resigned themselves to wage slavery. Most of those people will remain wage slaves for the rest of their lives, and they have lost their final shreds of dignity and honor – nor do they particularly care.

A few others have gone the route of vagabond-traveling, street busking, or even begging on the streets. At least those jobs are tax-free. We might not like their methods, but they are the intelligent ones. They know that there is no future for them in this unjust world. The owners can simply wait and collect the profits, while they laugh at the multitude of unemployed, underemployed and pathetic wage slave losers begging for work.

Recently, I took a crappy retail job because I needed the money – in order to pay rent, utility bills, health bills, auto bills, food bills and other miscellaneous fines and fees, inclusive of the taxation scam. Not surprisingly, I worked for a dishonest and disreputable lowlife, and here is the punch line: I received the same hourly wage that I earned 20 years ago, when I had worked at other crap service sector jobs. After so many years of 5% annual inflation, living costs have more than doubled – yet I was receiving the identical wage from another historical epoch!

The working class is dead, and never to rise. The owner class has successfully eliminated most of the good, blue-collar jobs, except for a few, well-paid professional services. The good job list has included donut cops and prison guards, university-college and hospital administrators, government bureaucrats, corporate attorneys and corporate accountants, doctors in private practice, skilled repairmen, the electrical maintenance fields, software-hardware engineering, master mechanics, plumbers, builders and welders, the specialized trades in transport-distribution-oil-mining-gas work, and of course, all those executive positions in the banking, financial, real estate and insurance scam services. Did I forget sports and entertainment celebrities?

The other lucky ones with good job opportunities are the ex-high class students, graduates of the Amerikan liberal, elite universities, such as Harvard, Yale and Princeton – and sometimes inclusive of the other Ivy-leaguers and the western false-ivies, such as Chicago, Northwestern, Rice, Berkeley and Stanford. Most of those ex-students, the favored alumni, are the common exceptions to the bad job, debt-wage slavery life.

Marx referred to the lowest social class under capitalism, as the lumpen proletariat, or the ‘lumpens.’ The rich, wealthy elites are transforming all of us into this class. This social class of people implies the lowlifes who perform the odd, temporary work, crap jobs for cheap money.

This low class of people hangout in bars or churches, and they often drift from town to town, or even become home bums. The real dishonest ones move into petty crime, such as fraud and street hustling, bank robbing, shabby gangster scams, or they manipulate the government handout system in order to grab a little ‘free government money.’ Those fakers especially like ‘disability’ payments ad infinitum. Many lumpens end up locked away in one Amerika’s numerous prison gulags – or they sell their body-soul property to the US military.

I remember the other recruits in my military unit. They definitely did not represent the ‘well off.’ Some were in the military because the judge gave them the choice between ‘service,’ or the ‘lock up.’ Others had different kids from different women. Some dudes just had no good prospects in life – they were from the low breeding of bad luck: urban or rural poverty. Was it not absurd that the lowest social class became the main assassins for the US Empire of Sociopaths, meaning that they were fighting for the actual elites – who had originally destroyed their families through low wages and criminal neglect?

There is no Revolution on the way. The union bosses, like their politician bosses, are on the legal bribe and kickback system, and they actually earn salaries similar to corporate executives!

No matter what the Marxist sect nut jobs scream, there is no class consciousness, since many of us sleep, defecate, eat and drink alone. We must resign ourselves to the bad death through overwork or criminal neglect from no work.

Capitalism is on the one-way, death grip – tightening real hard. This utterly rotten system will create a more horrible, intense burning Hell, which awaits for all us. We can expect periodic homelessness, hunger bouts, and falling into sickness.

Meanwhile, the prison doors remain open – and once the guards usher us in, they will lock us up forever. We will eventually die there, like so many other elderly prisoners before us and after us. Some of us have opted for the sweet death of opiates and other hard drugs – hoping to die quicker than expected.

Once we see the lying politicians, of whatever political persuasion, speaking about offers of phony economic-political concessions – then watch out! This is one of their criminal traps and ploys to scare us into submission. But this does tell us one thing – they are the ones scared and weak.

Street fighting man or woman – grab your gun! Better to lose our mental chains. We shall die with dignity and honor.

Some social inventions have endowed humanity’s diversity for millennium. The public market was one such social invention, but modern capitalism exterminated that one.

The monopolies of print newspapers were definitely not one of them. Idolatry and innuendo of the printed word can only go so far, and thankfully, the Internet is destroying that media. European civilization did gift the world two good things however: the game of football, or soccer as we say in the States, and public drinking establishments.

Yet, I now despise bars. I used to enjoy visiting such alcoholic dens. But even when a few bars have had good tasting food to offer – I cannot do it anymore – nor can I afford it anymore. I have seen the light of Reason. But a more important question begs to order: what happened to public drinking establishments in the States? The American Revolution was partly started in urban taverns, and the Wild West lived inside of western saloons.

We must return to Roman civilization. The first bars were actually Tabernae, or taverns. These little stores and eating-drinking establishments had the complete bottom floor to the roads. The owners were often freedmen who got into the trade in order to supply urban dwellers and other visitors ready-made, cheap foods and cheap drinks.

There was not much mead, nor bier, or beer, in those Roman cities. Instead, the cauponis, or innkeepers, served vino, or wine, out of cool, large wooden casks, called cellae, with the most expensive regional grape representing Falernia. The first bars or taverns were more similar to the small convenience stores with large wine barrels, now called bodegas, currently found all over Spain.

Thanks to this popular Roman experiment in social class climbing and cheap oblations, the invention spread all over European civilization, from the steppes of the Rus, or Russia, to the hills of Hibernia, or Ireland, from the fjords of Norvege, or Norway, to the mountains of Iberia, or Spain. Europeans would never lose their shoddy reputations as the Kings of Binge Drinkers and ad-hoc partying. Roman Carnival just never ended for all of them: Bacchus, (Drink), Pan, (Music), and Priapus, (Sloppy Sex). In our absurd contemporary world, we can now add, football, or Soccer, into the sensual mix.

German culture had the kneipe, while French culture preferred the brasserie. The Spanish set up mesones. For the sake of this essay, I will not list every European name for a bar-drinking establishment, as the reader could surely find a specific name for such places in every European language, from Turkish to Breton, and from Frisian to Basque. The American version takes its lift from British culture.

Britain had its alehouses, which were private drinking establishments with a 24 hour, seven-day a week, lock ins. These places were in pre-Norman invasion Britain. At least one thing survived the Anglo-Norman shock troops.

It was during the late 13th century that the first public houses, or pubs, appeared, often run by tenants paying a fee for serving the brew master’s ales, or through freeholders, who owned the entire operation.

These public drinking establishments became such a rage that England’s greatest authors celebrated the local cultures that swam in such saloons, or particular entertainment rooms, filled with storytelling, songs, music and games. Chaucer’s setting for the Canterbury Tales took place at the roadside Tabard Inn, while the notorious Shakespearean character, Falstaff, was often found half-drunk, or pissed, at the Boar’s Head Inn.

Due to the hazards of road travels in those medieval days, many pubs were similar to travelers inns and taverns, which served special drinks and prepared foods. Some places had shared bed lodging, so the drinkers could snore and sleep off the hard water alcohol. The inns generally served beer and ale, while the taverns also served wines.

When the States was the colonial American Plantations, taverns became the premier social space for American men. In Boston, the historical legend states that the first plotters began their talks for American independence inside the Green Dragon Tavern.

As the United States moved west, the first saloons opened their doors for men, which were essentially taverns that served mainly whiskey, beer, sweet wine and other strange concoctions. These saloons also had gambling, such as tilted machines, dice draws, and card games. Other saloons attached themselves to bordellos of loose women, the so-called ‘opera house’ for cheap entertainment, or the local hotel.

Once the US Federal government ‘closed the western frontier’ and ended any ‘wild west’ freedom, about 100 years ago, the first state licensed bars emerged. The bars took their style from the original pub counters in Britain – without the saloon theatrics. Gun fights in the bars now led to arrests and imprisonment. The origins of bars were more medicinal, since certain sick people could take spirits in order to soothe their pains.

With the Woman’s Crusade of 1873, the Woman’s Christian Temperance Movement and the Anti-Saloon League gaining in political favor, the saloon-bar was a marked entity. The US Federal Government passed the Eighteenth amendment to the Constitution, and the drinking establishments ceased to exist – except for the illegal Speakeasies. This period was Prohibition.

After the repeal of Prohibition in the 1930s, the saloon transformed into a wild west side-show, and the bar took over everything, with taverns only designating food service with booze. Bars were also open to both men and women. The meat market scene began with both young and old men trying to chat with, and hopefully lay, the women visitors.

In towns across America, each bar snatched a particular, cultural personality. There were the dive bars for the drunks and cheap losers, old men bars for the elderly drunks and cheap losers, cowboy bars, local bars, cop bars, gay-lesbian bars, black bars, (for the Blacks), vato bars, (for the Mexicans), driller bars, (for the oil and gas workers), and miner bars. With the success of professional sports in American life, and especially the NFL, during the 1970s, the sports bar emerged with multiple television sets on the walls.

In the Amerikan Empire, we now have themed bars, from Metal to Folk, and from Punk to ‘Decadent,’ or whatever that means. Bars have used every imaginable enticement in order to fleece more money from the customer-marks. They regularly employ happy hours, free crappy food days, lady’s nights, DJ-band cover charges, game nights, trivia nights and holiday bashes with expensive entrance tickets. The old demarcations between bars and private nightclubs have blurred.

The pool hall is falling into the relic of historical memory – while hopefully, the latest incarnation of the Amerikan bar will end up there too. Why would a Doctor Historian Anarchist wish for such a thing?

Walking into an American bar is like invading the private den of an enemy. Our current incarnations of bars have lost their community soul. Even the local bar in the small town is dying. Many of the people visiting such establishments represent the lumpen refuse of the Amerikan political-economic nightmare.

Most of the patrons have serious drinking problems, terrible physical maladies, or mental issues – or all the above together. The conversations are either one person monologues that display horrendous suffering, or they represent aggressive-paranoia, back and forth bantering. I have never been able to have an enlightening talk with another person inside those places. I have been able to converse with others inside weirdo cafes – while loaded with caffeine.

The consummation of heavy doses of alcohol with extreme global monopoly capitalism has murdered the bar vibe. This is the reason we should cut down the bar dependency: global monopoly capitalism.

Bars often have owners who personify the worst elements of the small business owner class. Some years ago, I remember visiting a bar run by so-called Anarcho-Syndicalists in a hipster west coast city, and I later found out that the employees did not even receive wages – only tips! And those guys were supposedly fighting the Class War in the employee’s name? There are hundreds of bars across the States where the owners don’t even pay their employees basic wages.

Due to the nastiness of the owners, the tipping scam is out of control in those rip off joints. At restaurants, Americans generally tip 20% for the final bill of service. But in bars, the bartenders expect at least a dollar tip for every drink served! Most bars now have drinks that at least cost five dollars or more, so a dollar plus per drink means 20% per order. If you decide to act the gentleman and pay for a few rounds, the customer is looking at a good amount of his or her salary falling into bartender tips. If you don’t follow this code, you might have the bartender slip some Visine eye wash into your next order – and straight to the restroom you will run.

Intelligent patrons know that using a bank-debit card in a bar is a dangerous proposition. In American bars, you must only use cash. When the bartender’s friends come in for a visit, which they regularly do, then guess who is paying for the ‘free drinks’?

When the bartenders are not dipping into the owner’s till for their lost wages – then the rest of the drinks are on you. If you forget your card and leave it overnight, then you might as well take a deep monetary hit.

Finally, both bar owners and bartenders are generally rude cretins. I have rarely encountered a gentleman-gentlewoman bartender or bar owner working inside an American drinking hole. I have encountered plenty of obnoxious and rude assholes – and they still expect you to tip them 20%!

How many actual bartenders know how to pour a beer, mix a cocktail or even serve properly a glass of wine? There are very few left. In our savage capitalist system, more and more low skilled, jack of all trades people now work behind the bar counter. They might dress well, have a tight friendship with the owner, and if they are attractive women, create a certain eye candy – but they are not true bartenders.

Our bars have even become part of the grand American Pyramid Scheme. We pay inflated prices on cheap drinks in order to feel happy for a very short period in our transient lives; meanwhile the bar owner and bartender openly detest us. They might say hello and do a little idle chatter with us, but their eyes always betray their hate and murder. We continue to flush our money down their till toilets.

We do have options. We could simply visit the local liquor store, convenience store or supermarket down the street. Buy paying less for more product, we might also have some money left over for food, like a delicious round of pizzas. We can enjoy the booze and food all within the good community of family and friends.

We ought to reject the fears of encountering bar owner-bartender scam artists, and the aggressive lowlifes who regular visit dive bars in order to commit violent acts. We don’t even have to worry about getting DUIs, where the police normally haunt bars in order to destroy people’s lives.

Submitting to a supposedly cool, fraudster-hipster hangout is just not worth the destruction of our honor, nor the loss of our basic human dignity, nor even playing slaughter house chicken with our fragile lives.

The names and forms of ideological groups often speak volumes about both their directions – and their mental chains.

Christians have often named their sects after their founders, such as Lutherans, Calvinists, Mormons, Wesleyans, Nestorians, Arians, Franciscans, Swedenborgians, Augustinians, Dominicans, or they have dubbed themselves according to their theological obsessions, such as Old Believers, Orthodox, Christian Science, Catholics, Adventists, Christadelphians, Baptists, Methodists, Jesuits, Carmelites.

Some Christians have identified their groupings according to race, and mostly due to Christianity’s part invention and support of racialism. Two examples represent the African Episcopal Methodists and the Chinese Baptists. Other Christian groups have used similar ethno-nationalist terms, such as the Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Armenian, Byzantine, Assyrian, Anglican, German Brethren, French Reformed, Dutch Reformed, Latin Catholic Rite, Eastern Catholic Rite.

Like the myriad of Christian cults in our modern world, Marxist sect groups have also named themselves after their revolutionary idols, such as Marxist-Leninists, Maoists, Stalinists, Guevarists, Trotskyists, or they have used titles proportional to their political fixations, such as Social Democrats, National Socialists, Socialist Worker, Socialist Action, Christian Liberationists, United Left, Popular Fronts, Left Front, Left Coalitions, Socialist Labor, Revolutionary Communists, Revolutionary Socialists. Like the Christians, Leftists also enjoy designating themselves according to their ethno-nationalist origins, such as Russian Communists, British Laborites, Spanish Socialists, French Communists, Indian Marxists.

Unfortunately, we Anarchists also have our ideological fronts, divisions, tendencies, sectarian splits and particular cliques. Unlike the Christians and Marxists, we do not label ourselves according to our religious-sect founders, nor do we name ourselves in relation to ethno-nationalist groups. We have no Bakuninists, nor Kropotkinists, nor Anarchists of America, nor any United Spanish Anarchists. However, we do label ourselves in proportion to our peculiar inclinations.

The biggest division within Anarchism is between the Insurrectionists and Civic Anarchists. The Insurrectionists use incendiary sabotage, hacktivism, retaliatory violence and property destruction against targeted elites, or the propaganda of the deed. The Civic Anarchists, use direct picketing, immediate shut downs, business boycotts, abandoned building or land squatting, direct media publishing, new age traveling, spontaneous street parties, natural medicine distributions, petty shoplifting, dumpster diving, free learning classes and totally free markets in order maintain some cultural autonomy.

Yet there are many Anarchists that use both tactics, and in fact, true Anarchist revolutionaries, use both methods. Both tendencies unite under the double activities of Anarchy: Direct Action and Mutual Aid.

Direct Action is the offense. It implies the Anarchist Act over Anarchist Words. As we say in America: walk the walk, over talking the talk. Mutual Aid is the defense, and it implies that if you reject the State, then help out others, and share with your fellow Anarchists through every facet of life: food, clothes, shelter, medical care, self-defense and cultural, non-institutional, education activities.

Within contemporary Anarchy, there is, unfortunately, a lot more words than Direct Action, and there is very little Mutual Aid that remains in Anarchist subcultures. With all of the Anarchist tendencies, and even the contradictory ones, they all unite under the hatred of the State – even if they create mini-States within their very own organizations.

Anarchy has unfortunately fallen into similar pits of ideological mess and hodgepodge as the Christian cult institutions and the Marxist-Leftist sect gangs. This is because of our ideological history, when Anarchy had first called itself Anarchism, or Anarcho-Syndicalism.

This ideological situation also has relations to the beginning of the armed struggle, fighting on both fronts: anti-Statism and anti-Capitalism. Around 130 years ago, and also due to possessing common enemies, Anarchists consorted among the other Leftist tendencies, such as the Socialists and the Communists.

What saved Anarchy from Marxist vanguardist and Christian sectarian mental illness was the Punk movement beginning in the 1970s. Punk rock culture returned Rock music to its roots through playing the original rock music, of Black-Working Class rebellion, and with this authentic return, Punk acted in full revolt against the wage slave-work-consumerist culture of Capitalist society. A few bands, such as the Clash, publicly exposed the State criminals and murderers. But like all cultural expressions of ‘rebellion,’ Capitalist culture fought back and eventually co-opted a good deal of the music and fashion sense.

There are still Anarcho-Syndicalists, or Anarcho working class agitators. They often fight through union organizing struggles, the most notable being the IWW, One Big Union, or the Wobblies. Once and a while they do have organizing successes against the bosses because they don’t have the six-figure salary, typical union boss overhead, i.e., the AFL-CIO union hacks, nor do they sell-out the workers during the contract negotiations. The Anarcho-Syndicalists know full well how the Capitalist system functions. Still, the IWW ‘Wobs’ often meet more defeats than victories, and Global Monopoly Capitalism is a lot more powerful than Industrial Capitalism was about a hundred years ago. The rotten capitalist system continues as strong as ever.

Another ideological tendency in contemporary Anarchism is Anarcho-Primitivism, or Green Anarchy. This view represents Anarchy united with a certain element of the Environmentalist movement. This orientation finds that our technology has become a literal social and cultural monolith, and that it has sucked out the joy and magic from our already dismal existence. Technological institutions have replaced Capitalist institutions as the destroyers of the living. Those Anarchists have been right about our dire situation – but it is too late now. Most of humanity has allowed both the laziness and slavery of technology to infiltrate their lives. This woeful actuality includes Anarchist subcultures.

Other contradictory ideologies have latched on to the Anarchy brand. In the United States, there is a large Anarcho-Capitalist perspective. They tend to write blogs, make videos, and have informal gatherings. Some of them are just as hard-core as the other previously mentioned Anarchist groups. This sect believes that there is a true possibility for a totally free capitalist market between willing individuals, and that technology will open and facilitate this freedom.

They use parts of Ayn Rand’s philosophy and take it to the American Libertarian fringe. The issue with this group is that many of them did not continue their readings with Adam Smith. In his Wealth of Nations, (published at the time of the American Revolution), Smith wrote that modern Capitalism absolutely needs the help of the State.

All socio-economic activities require some type of arbitration, or the markets will cease existing as actual markets – and will thus become nasty examples of Darwin’s Survival of the Fittest. Why pay for a product, if you can shoot the seller in the head, keep your money and the prize? And there’s the other way around, why give away your product, if you can just take the seller’s money and shoot the buyer in the head afterwards?

There are also Anarcho-Nationalists, or Anarcho-Fascists. These sects embrace the idea of race, nation and people over other inferior groups or enemies, yet they don’t want a State. How could they even conceive of such a society? How would they even defend themselves from their enemies, which have to fight them eventually since their ideology is so extreme, without even resorting to a state? The only way to mobilize any modern military organization is the institution of the modern state.

And yes, there still exist the Anarcho-Communists. They want a Communist society without a Communist state. They see hope for a utopia vision of a Communist society inside the writings of Karl Marx – or possibly Thomas More’s Utopia, or perchance, the pre-European invaded, Native societies of the Americas? This political cult forgets that humans cannot retrace their steps back into the dark realms of human history. We are very different from those earlier societies. The modern capitalist state destroyed those societies for a reason. We simply can never return to the past.

There are also the sub-sects of Anarcho-Nihilists, who reject all politics, and Anarcho-Surrealists who prefer to fight the system through anti-corporate media activities, even creating ‘anti-events,’ where they counter co-opted festivals and exhibitions.

Anarchy returns to its full circle around the A.

Our only noble fight left remains Autonomy. We cannot destroy any modern class society because there will always exist certain humans that crave power, control and authority, and even inside Anarchist circles; nor can we return to a historical period with less technology and smaller communities. Our minds have permanently mutated through the repetitive use of technology, and through learning brutal habits, while surviving inside the urban monster, called the megalopolis.

Autonomy means that we use all of our personal energies and efforts to maintain both our dignity and honor. We should try to avoid laboring and destroying ourselves inside any demeaning wage slave work. We ought to live our lives the way we see fit. We can refrain from consumerist buying, striving for the Amerikan nightmare, taking out loans, investing in pyramid schemes, borrowing, lending and gambling.

We could remain physically free to live outside of the cages and shackles of the prison industrial complex and the State supported institutional system, which includes hospital clinics, state mandated schools and police-paramilitary units.

We would prefer death over some open or disguised form of slavery. Our dignity and honor depend on maintaining these freedoms and liberties. If we live as Anarchists, then we can never trade nor sell out our sacred autonomy. Autonomy is all that remains.
